Vocalist and oudist Albert Nasser Agha is an assistant professor of music at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He earned his Ph.D. from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, studying under the direction of renowned professor and composer A.J Racy.
As an accomplished performer of the classical Arab repertoire, Agha has performed at many notable venues such as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Berklee Music Center in Boston, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and many other venues globally.
As a dedicated music educator, Agha has been involved in developing music curriculums for children and adults, both in Western and Arab music and has a solid understanding of music pedagogy and development for all ages. He coaches students privately and in groups of all ages and sizes, and has conducted numerous music and culture workshops at middle schools, high schools, and universities across the United States.
